Brian Smith of Dynamite in the Brain joins the podcast for a special episode of the Anime Now! Podcast, where we DON’T review an anime, but a live-action series about anime in 1980’s Japan. Blue Blazes is a fantastic series about fans, creators and the people who want to make the transition from the former to the latter, featuring comedic portrayals of future titans of anime like Hideaki Anno. A note for new fans: this episode is steeped in 30+ years of anime references and we never explain most of them. I’m sorry about that!
